Is your paint safe?
Happy Art uses only professional, water-based body and face paint. It is very gentle and designed for use on the skin. Paint is easily removable from any surface with soap and water. We are especially mindful of hygiene and contamination risks when painting near eyes, nose, and lips. We do not paint over open sores or wounds and equipment is disinfected and washed before and after every event, or new equipment is used altogether. We ask that guests be considerate and we reserve the right to not paint those who pose a clear health risk to others. Below is a list of ingredients of the common paints used by Happy Art Artists. How long does the paint last?
Water-based paint is not designed for long wear and generally begins to fade and break down within a few hours, depending on a few factors like perspiration, weather, and friction. For a more durable, longer wear option, airbrush is available in an alchohol base and can last for several days. It is usually used for artistic body art and temporary tattoos. Alcohol-based paint requires a specialized remover and/or emollient to remove the paint without irritating the skin.
How long do glitter tattoos last?
Glitter tattoos are applied with special fx adhesive called Spirit Glue and can last for up to 2-3 days if well cared for. To remove, use an emollient-based lotion like baby oil and saturate the tattoo to break down the glue, then wipe away the glitter residue.
How far in advance should I book Happy Art?
